Your role can be as far ranging as you want it to be, whether its gaining confidence at public speaking, writing speeches, assisting on campaigns or getting your own casework there is SO much you can gain from your experience.

Alongside this being an executive officer is a great opportunity to give something back to Swansea and support your peers. Executive officers stand up for students rights with accommodation issues, academic study problems and community relations problem. From here casework and campaigns can increase ensuring that you and your fellow students are represented at the University, right up to the highest levels of the University.

The full-time members of staff at the Students’ Union are there to advise the executive team if needs be and introduce them to the necessary procedures and structures.

They will also receive training from the National Union of Students giving them a first class insight into the operations of the charity and business world, as well as expertise in public speaking, political representation and campaigning.
